Typical local seafood VS Japanese food!

I would like to introduce these few seafood dishes that I've tried from past few days ago. The restaurant is called " la la cheong" simply known as sea clamp Cheong. It's located at Kayu Ara Damansara area. Most importantly its halal! I know normally chinese seafood restaurants are not halal. However this restaurant is an exceptional. It's all halal, so its open for everyone to enjoy a wonderful dinner there.

So what my family ordered wereeee...

Sea Clamp soup!

 Marmite Crabs!
Sea Clamp fried Mee hoon!

Their famous sea clamp soup was really tasty. It's slightly spicy because of the pepper it had, and very fresh sea clamps as well. The clamp fried mee hon is also once of my favorite! The taste of the mee hon was just nice, not too salty not too greasy. And the mee hoon was really fresh and bouncy not like the mee hoon we usually eat. However the crab was just ok, its not really that good. I think the marmite was a bit bitter because of the amount they put. But it was indeed a fresh crab thoo!!

And next on I'd like to introduce these Japanese food that I enjoyed with my brothers at Sushi Tei Japanese Cuisine which located at Tropicana City mall. Sushi Tei has always been my family and my all time favorite. Not just the fresh food they served, but very delicious food as well!!

Fried Salmon skin is a must have!! Crunchy and tasty!!
This is the best appetizer while waiting for your main course to come! It's not oily and very crunchy just like chips. It comes with mayonise sauce too, it tastes heavenly when the sauce is added! *drools*

I forgot the name of this dish. But it's marinated scallops with some white carrots. It's a really simple and nice, it just opens up ur appetite. It has really strong sesame taste of this dish, and I've always love food like this..

Beef shabu -shabu served with Miso soup!
There are mushroom, tofu, carrot, udon and many kind of vegetables serves in one big pot of miso soup. The main thing of this shabu- shabu would be the beef, nothing tastes better than slices of freshly peel beef. The beef served individually, so you have to make sure the soup is boiled and cook the beef!

This is a plate of sushis for 2! The amount of sushi is just nice for 2 person. Its not too many and its not too less. And there are all sort of sushi u can choose from it :)
Fried eggplants with some crunchy ginger on top.

For this I'd say it was just fine, nothing really special. It's just like a plate of fried brinjal. However, they were served with a bowl of light soy sauce which makes the brinjal taste better and nicer.

That's all for now! Thank you! Hope you enjoy it Ms. Farah! Loves :D

Hong Kong Dim Sum~

Dim Sum is a Cantonese term from Snack. Traditionally served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. Going for dim sum is usually known in Cantonese as going to "drink tea" (yum cha), as Chinese tea is typically served with dim sum.

In Hong Kong, and in most cities and towns in Guangdong province, many restaurants start serving dim sum as early as five in the morning. It is a tradition for the elderly to gather to eat dim sum after morning exercises.

Let's check out Tian Yuan Dim Sum @ Sea Park ..

We ordered Bean-Curd Roll with Cheese, Spare Ribs with Black Bean Salted, Honey BBQ Pork Bao, Siu Mai, Fu Chuk and ETC. All the dishes were nicely done. The Prawn Dumplings have big chunks of prawns in it. The steamed fu chuk was very good as well.

The Bean-Curd Roll with Cheese @ RM4.80

Loh Mai Kai (Chicken Glutinous Rice).  @ RM4.80
Very soft and the taste was good, but a bit oily
This place has the concept of order first then only they will steam the dim sum for you. This concept is good whereby you get to eat hot dim sums but the disadvantage is that we only can order the dim sum through the menu and just by imagine how is the food look like.

Tian Yuan Dim Sum's Menu
Xiu Mai in a Small Steamer Basket @ RM3.50

Chili full with Fish Meat @ RM3.50

It is not as like what those traditional dim sum service with fully cooked and ready-to-serve dim sum dishes would be pushed around on steam carts by servers who go around the restaurant offering the dishes to customers and keep shouting "Xiu Mai, Char Xiu Bao..." so we can choose whatever from the cart, look more interested.

Pricing of dishes at these types of restaurants may vary, but traditionally the dishes are classified as "small", "medium", "large", or special order. For example, a basket of dumplings may be considered a small dish, while a bowl of congee or plate of Lo mai gai may be considered a large dish.

Taiwanese Food

Hello everyone, its time for noms again! We've had Italian and Japanese cuisines for the past two weeks and I hope you liked it. :)

As for this week, its time for mouth watering Taiwanese food! For those who haven't been to Taiwan but would like to have a bite of Taiwanese snacks, don't be disappointed. Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks had brought some of the local delicacies to Malaysia! The best thing is, all the prices are real affordable, nothing is over RM10.50! (Most of the food are ranged between RM5.50 to RM6.50) Sounds nice eh? :D

Crispy Egg Floss Crepe @ RM5.50

The crepe is similar to stretched Roti Canai except its crispier and thinner with egg on top of it. Egg and crispy chicken floss are rolled together before a sweetish brown sauce is poured on top to complete the perfect taste of it. Its a new taste for our taste buds and I don't think we can get the exact same crepe else where. Worth a try!

Handmade Oyster Mee Sua @ RM6.50

It comes in a thick soup broth with three fresh oysters, shredded chicken and chilli sambal. The Mee Sua literally melts in your mouth but the same time it remains its own taste. The oysters are really fresh and big, picture can't do any justice at all. With the amount of money you pay, it definitely worth every penny!
Oyster lovers, what are you waiting for? ;)

XXL Crispy Chicken @ RM6.50

Last but not least, I present you the most popular snack at Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks, XXL Crispy Chicken. You should see how HUGE is the chicken, the name totally fits it well. Picture can't do any justice, again! Some spices and chilli powder are sprinkled on top of the chicken to enhance the taste of it. Its a good substitution for lunch or dinner and i can assure you'll be very full after finishing the whole piece. (Not applicable for big eater).

There are more choices for you to discover such as Seafood Tempura, Sweet Plum Potato Fries, Happy Ricebox Set and etc. People, its time to pamper your taste buds and wallet at the same time yo!! :)

With love,

First#Soft Shell Crab
A must order food in your menu! Never miss it!
Do you know what's the different between the hard-shell crab and soft shell crab? A crab, esp of the edible species Cancer pagurus, that has recently moulted and has not yet formed its new shell compare hard-shell crab. From your information, you can eat the whole crab including the shell. You can eat the whole crab with no more pliers and hammer!
The sweet and subtle briny flavor of fresh blue crab is truly the essence of the sea and it is the main character of this dishes, cover by the Ebiko(known as fish's egg). Also, soft shell crab is easy to prepare and cook at home. You may try it! Visit CookingLight. :)

Second#Barbecue Beef
Juicy juicy!

Are you start drooling now? Not yet? One more for you! Are you interested in BBQ beef? This is tender and juicy! Grilled sirloin with teriyaki sauce.
A gas or charcoal grill can produce the perfect beef sirloin. The low temperatures and slow cooking are the keys to any barbecue cooking. And besides the cooking process itself, the smoky flavor (and particularly from charcoal) adds another dimension to the food, making it truly magnificent! By the way, you can barbecue your own style as you like for sure.
Enjoy the fun with your family while having the nice food. How can you deny for this? Love it? Visit Sushi Tei :)
